Our vision for The Island is simple: to develop a safe and appealing access from the City of Jefferson to the Missouri River. 

​The experience will depart from the Capitol Complex immediately next to the Veterans Memorial (see rendering below).

The proposed project will provide a pedestrian/bike linkage that reconnects and restores the City with its historic relationship to the Missouri River. The project will also provide a platform to interpret state history as it takes users across the Union Pacific Railroad to the Missouri River with breathtaking views of the Capitol and the Missouri River Valley.
